Some programs in Mulhouse maintain, via eCandidat, requirements for additional documents that are absent on MonMaster. A master’s program may require a detailed professional project or a portfolio on eCandidat, while the same program accessible via MonMaster at another university only requires a CV and a standardized cover letter.
Before creating your account, gather the following items:
- Your INE number (or BEA/IEN) of eleven characters, unless you are a foreign student never registered in France or if your last registration in high school or higher education dates back to before 1995.
- A valid email address, which will serve as the sole channel for retrieving your username and notifications from the committee.
- The entirety of your previous school and university courses (year of graduation, exact title, honors).
- Your dated professional experiences (internships, fixed-term contracts, permanent contracts) with the employer’s name.
Field feedback varies on one point: some candidates report that the required documents are not always listed in advance on the program sheet. They sometimes appear only after selecting the wish in the interface, which can be surprising if you have not prepared a specific document.
Creating an eCandidat account and submitting an application: the blocking points
Creating an eCandidat account is not automatic, even for students already enrolled at UHA. If you are or have been a student in Mulhouse or Colmar, you can log in with your UHA credentials, but you still need to explicitly create your eCandidat account. UHA authentication does not equate to registration on the platform.
Accounts created for a previous campaign are no longer valid for the next campaign. Each year, you must recreate an account. This process contrasts with Parcoursup or MonMaster, where the account can be reactivated.
Account validation and deadlines
After creation, a validation email is sent to the provided address. Without validation, the account remains inactive and no wishes can be made. Candidates using email services with strict filtering (university emails, certain foreign providers) should check their spam folders.
Once the account is active, the application is divided into two stages: entering personal data (civil status, background, experiences), then choosing programs and uploading documents. Each chosen program constitutes a distinct wish with its own documents and response timeline.
eCandidat UHA application timeline: dates and publication of results
The opening dates vary according to the components of UHA. The Faculty of Letters, Languages, and Human Sciences (FLSH) and the IUT of Mulhouse do not necessarily share the same calendar. Some professional licenses open their applications earlier than general L2 or L3 programs.
The publication of admissions occurs after the application period closes, and selected candidates have a deadline to confirm their wish. Exceeding this deadline constitutes a withdrawal, with no standard recourse available.
The eCandidat timeline is not aligned with that of MonMaster. A candidate applying simultaneously on both platforms must follow two distinct schedules, with response dates that may overlap. No synchronization mechanism exists between the two systems.
